I am Cicero, the proud Owner and maker of Phynix Fire Candle Co.

In 2017, I embarked on a journey fueled by a simple passion: candles. What began as a personal pursuit, lighting up my days with their warmth and fragrance, soon evolved into a dream of sharing that joy with others. Yet, the road to entrepreneurship wasn't without its obstacles.

Growing up, I faced the weight of societal expectations and prejudices. Being both Black and gay, pursuing a craft often deemed "feminine" felt like navigating uncharted waters. Despite the changing tides of acceptance, my own insecurities held me back for far too long.

It took years of self-reflection and the unwavering support of incredible individuals who embraced me for who I am, beyond society's labels, to realize that the only barrier to my dreams was my own doubt.

Now, as I stand here, nerves still present but determination stronger than ever, I pour my heart into each candle I create. They are more than just wax and wick; they're a tribute to the love and acceptance I've found along the way.

For me, candles have always been a refuge, a means of escape with each flicker of flame and waft of scent. When I decided to turn this passion into a business, it was essential that I uphold the values of cleanliness and environmental responsibility, ensuring that everyone could experience the same sense of freedom and purity that candles bring to me.
